Sauerkraut pizza may sound odd, but trust us-you won’t want to miss this delicious combo. The festival has more than 450 craft vendors, 30 plus food booths, and around 60 different sauerkraut dishes for its 350,000 annual visitors to try. Waynesville is not only home to the beloved Ohio Renaissance Festival but also the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival! Every year throughout the second weekend of October, Historic Main Street in Downtown Waynesville is taken over by all-things-sauerkraut, with 7 tons of the idolized fermented dish served during the event.
